dudes, who is doing this show? I think that KC bands should share amps so that we dont have to haul a bunch of shit across the state. Then we could carpool and annoy the crap out of each other.

that would be totally balls. i think that john burnett is putting this thing on. i'm not sure though. if he is, that would explain why i didn't know about it until two days ago though.

chris is bringing his guitar amp/bass head up on friday so robots and dcd can have practice...john, how would you feel about sharing drums with other bands? also...is there anyone at the slaughterhouse who can donate a bass cabinet? probably should have just called with these questions huh.

I think it would be wise for someone from KC to bring some BBQ to the show. This could clear up any cross state misunderstandings revolving around the conflict in culinary styles that appear in the 2 cities. Kansas City is famous for showing "how [BBQ is] done" but st. louis has its own distinct style of bbq known as the dry rub. Where as KC is all about the sauce and meat selection, STL is all about the rub. Indeed, Kansas City BBQ chefs are known to enhance their meats with various rubs but STL rejects the sauce school of BBQ and sticks purely to the rub.
I think if we are ever to understand any sort of divide between the two cities we must get to the bottom of the BBQ issue.

oh I forgot to add that I think the great railroad rivalry between STL and Chicago really plays into the bistate conflict. Ill right more about that when i get my notes together.
