working together on shows...

hey ya'll...

i'm booking a couple shows in october at the momo. oct. 6th - latterman/adastra/gw5/crapcorps/kevin m. and oct 8th - the body/robots/battleship/deaths head spinx/i70series

anyway....what i wanted to see some folks would be interested helping with some stuff...

-the most important part is flyering in parts of town outside the city. suburbs, surrounding areas (preferably if you live in that area). most important where the kids hang out. if you wanna do it let me know.

-would anyone being interested in cooking a vegetarian/vegan meal for the touring bands for either of the show

other stuff that are important at shows that we dont have:
-fans. its always hot. though that may end soon i guess.
-a big water jug and some cups.
-if any has would be into letting us use their PA (this is probably a long shot...i can always find one if need be)

if you cook food, i would reimburse you for sure. just dont make lobster and make something cheap and good.

i can give you flyers if you want. id have to meet you somewhere. also if you can get cheap copies...i can email you a flyer. i will do my best to reimburse you just dont get crazy with it.

and obviously you wouldnt pay to get into the shows. duh!

these are just some ideas of how we could make shows better and make the touring bands happier and maybe spread the word out of how much kansas city kicks ass.

maybe this could be practice for doing something more organized in the future...or even getting that permanent all ages venue everyones always dreaming about.

yeah, same. i'd cook and flyer. only, laszlo, we live pretty close to one another, so i don't know how much new territory i could cover. good work on fifty first street, dude!

word. also...i would definitely help other people booking shows flyer and what not. i dunno. i was hoping this website would help folks network and really get people to start working together on projects. shows dont really happen by themselves ya'll.

i dunno. maybe im crazy.

originally...this website came out of the idea of starting some sort of show booking/promotion collective. so maybe theres still a chance to do somethin like that...
