I don't know what to make of this. Remember when they played the MoMo? The bass player head butted TWO people and was just being a jerk. He ruined the show. The guy IN THE BAND ruined the show. It was shitty.

what? broke up? crap.
as far as Colin (the bass player), it sucked that people didn't didn't get that he was being irritating as part of his "schtick." Yeah I know that can suck if you don't get the dumb joke.
i talked to him after the show and he was super nice and hilarious and felt real bad that anyone was genuinely upset. the second time i went to see them at el torreon he greeted robyna and me by name then gave us headbutts.
why was it funny when wesley willis gave complete strangers a random headbutt but not this dude? weird double standards.
at any rate if this is correct it's a total loss for the us punk scene. one of the only straight up punk bands in the country that actually kicked ass and wasn't late 70's fashion victim rehash band.
sad.

I think the reason I was annoyed, personally, was that they were late and THEN he decided to push the boundaries with his schtick. Not that it was their fault that they were late, but by the time they actually played, I didn't wanna be there anyway. Things like that can take the back burner when you're making up for lost time. There's a word I'm looking for... OH YES! Tact.
But yeah, I eventually got the album. I haven't heard many new bands as of late that I could really get into. I wish I was had caught they're el torreon show and I wish I was in a better mood when I actually did see them. It's rare that you'll find a band like that these days.
My opinion is, more bands should break up more often. It'll make you appreciate what they have accomplished. My favorite band, by default almost, is Rocket From The Crypt. If they would have just broken up several years ago, which I believe they will do on Halloween, they probably wouldn't have put out that last lame album and they'd be far from my mind. Hot Snakes, Guyana Punchline, Wrangler Brutes are all bands that broke up this year. I'd seen Hot Snakes twice and Wrangler Brutes once and I missed Guyana Punchline by about 1 hour once. That's sad. It almost wasn't enough, but its going to be difficult to ruin what they've already accomplished in my eyes.

I just have kinda a "meh, I wish the bass player didn't do that" feeling about that show still...
Maybe he didn't "ruin" the show completely, but I think it would have been better without him getting in people's faces.
