My good friend's Dad has a copy of both The Dow Jones & the Industrials "Can't Stand the Midwest" EP and Dow Jones / Gizmos "Hoosier Hysteria" split LP. Not so random: apparently he went to school in Indiana in the late 70's / early 80's and actually SAW these bands play. I think the EP is worth like $100.00 and the LP $50.00 or so.

that's awesome.
yeah your prices are about right give or take a little.
the song "can't stand the midwest" is great straight forward late 70's punk rock. i found a boot of it at love garden a few years ago which is pretty rad.
personally i think most of the gizmos stuff is less desirable than turd, but the track "1978" from their third 7" called "never mind the..." rules! it's great low-fi stripped down punk rock with garage-y edge. there's also another song on that record called "tie me up" that's just totally ridiculous richard hell style trash rock.
if you can get a hold of those gizmos tracks i recommend it, but most of their other stuff is just bad or boring or both.
