A post by someone on here a while back made start thinking, what is hardcore?
Someone said none of the bands on the KC Comp are hardcore. That made me wonder what does hardcore mean to kids nowadays?
If Alert! Alert! isn't hardcore is Back Flag still hardcore?
If Dick Cheney's Dick isn't hardcore is Bad Brains still hardcore?
If Anxiety Attack isn't hardcore is the first Circle Jerks record still hardcore?

in think that in all honesty... to your average joe mall kid... my chemical romance IS hardcore... also if your straight edge you're hardcore. and since these average joe mall kids don't know any better, they think that anything different than that is just kids being 'posers'
it's fucked up...
i'm afraid this new breed of 'hardcore' kids won't like this comp one bit... but to the kids who know what's up, it will be one of the best comps they've ever heard.
the truth is, all those bands ARE still hardcore, a lot kids nowadays are sadly misinformed. but that's no reason for us not to call this a hardcore comp. this comp is the reason for those kids to stop calling my chemical romance hardcore.
