Jeff Beck "Beck's Bolero". Insane. They NEVER play this on the radio though.
Blue Oyster Cult "Godzilla". Cool guitar melody.
Thin Lizzy "The Boys are back in Town". My friend turned me onto this one. So good.

Classic rock is the music of construction work. The following songs help me make it thru the day. 99.7 KY's plays them on the rotation.
R.E.O. Speedwagon "Riding the storm out" Styx "Blue collar man" AC/DC everything Rush "Working man" Pink Floyd "Mother" and "the wall"
Its intresting be cause different songs are better for different tasks.
For example, pink floyd is perfect for priming and painting rooms.
Rush is great for pluming, both drain / waste pipe (which is PVC and Glue) and supply lines (which is copper that you have to weld togeather).
AC/DC is great for demo and drywall. Even pulling mud. Whats weird is that AC/DC is not the best for doing actual electrical work. Wiring houses, and apartment, or doing remodels which is what i do requires attention to detail. If your working with a hot line you dont want to be doing an angus young and yelling "for those about to rock" because your likly to complete the circit thru your arm and get bit. For electrical work i suggest some thing like the Police or pink floyd again, or if your a nerd like me the whole day of NPR programming outside of the walt bodien show(tune back to KY between 10 and 11am).
I find that punk music does not work well for construction. Songs are too short and you cant get into your work groove.
Thats it. Work safe folks.

i agree... however id o my best electrical work during 90's at noon on the buzz. i can really get shit done when i hear the cranberries, nirvana, pearl jam, garbage, beck, the presidents of the united states of america, NIN, the smashing pumpkins, and harvey danger.
also 'money' is a good song to do any focused, detail work to... is that pink floyd?

Yeah, "Money" is by Pink Floyd.
"you're damn right I'm gonna be pissed off; I bought that pig at a Pink Floyd's yard sale!"

As far as AC/DC and electrical work goes, my comments only apply to AC. Ive never listened to AC/DC while working with direct current. Really the only DC power that i get into is low voltage battery power.
Are there any com/res applications for DC power?
Junk man tip: If your running service wire, take the scrap from the job, get a box knife and strip the electrical housing. The clean #1 copper goes for 1.06$ a pound. I take my scrap to Wabash Iron and Metal on 19th and Troost exclusivly. -watch out for the grizzly old man that does the can job. give him shit he is crazy-

More scrap news for the punks.
I think aluminum cans are 40 cents a pound. If you have a party set out a trash can and take the scrap in. Ive netted up to 45$ on cans, but that is a 8ft truck bed full.
