New Resource--Recording Studios

It would be a good idea to have a resource finder section for DIY recording studios!! I am sure that there are alot of them out there.

the first that comes to mind...Ashley Miller and Jon Kraft's studio in kc north (where the comp is being recorded)

i dont know what else there is. black lodge in eudora, that dude justin from the stray cat does some recording, i think brian bomb might too?? not sure who else.

I guess that in a way, my suggestion was self promotion. I have a DIY recording studio just south of KC, but there are a lot of them out there, and I wasn't thinking that I would be the only one to post my info on this site.

my band has a studio that we run in our garage/practice space. its pretty high quality, and only $15 an hour, generally. we don't have a website for the studio, but if you guys get this going we will give you the phone number and email address.

i have a computer based studio in my basement. i mostly just record my own band, but people started asking if they could come over and record so i've been recording some bands recently.

i'm thinking $15/hour is fair. we can record everything live, then just do some overdubs, and you're done. if you're tight, it shouldn't take that long. i have some nice mastering plugins i'll run the mix through at the end.

i recorded these guys, myspace.com/joelben , a few weeks ago. 4 hours recording, 3 hours mixing, 6 songs. i like to do it quick.
