The comp just got reviewed in the June issue of MRR. We managed to make two people's top ten lists!
the review:
v/a - "KC-DIY" LP In most of the Midwest, DIY means a lot more than paying $2 for a Gilman card. You're lucky to find a record store that carries Black Flag or make it a week without being called a faggot. Kids have a reason to be pissed...It's do it yourself because no one else fucking will. It's not only great to hear a comp like this, but I'm shocked at what a solid record KC-DIY is. ANXIETY ATTACK channels the energy of our 80's American HC favorites as they let loose with an unrelenting assault of of anger and rage on "A Disco With Books." Degenerate skate-thrashers ALERT! ALERT! crank up the intensity as they rip through their explosive "Board To Death." High school sweethearts CRAP CORPS dish out the piss and vinegar with their dirty, raw, mid-tempo anthem "Put Your Mean Face On," and DICK CHENEY"S DICK unleashes some heavy-duty violence and brutality to put the nail in the coffin of this 19 track comp. Definitely a few duds on here too, but fuck man the BBQ makes up for it. Hand screened sleeve, colored vinyl...limited to 300. Touchdown Kansas City! (VH)
