a few worth mentioning: 324 - customized circle 7" - japanese grind the bags - survive 7" bootleg - dangerhouse goodness, a classic beyond description / kontrovers 7" - japanese vs swedish thrash witch hunt - blood-red states lp - philly punx. second full-length, phenominal record, up there with harum scarum's "mental health"

i've been on a bob mould kick lately:
Husker Du - Everything Falls Apart and More ("What Do I Want" is an absolutely perfect, elegant punk song. i think people forget that husker du's early stuff was as fucked up as it was. similar to articles of faith at times. and the song MIC is, in my humble opinion, the way discharge should have sounded.) Husker Du - Warehouse Songs and Stories (duh) Bob Mould - Workbook (really good shit) Sugar - Copper Blue (basically the same as workbook. more rockin' maybe)
non bob mould purchases:
VA - Smack My Crack (a really weird tape comp from '87 with tom waits, nick cave, butthole surfers, william s. burroughs and swans on it.) Die Kreuzen - Gone Away EP (a bucket of hard, mopy rock shit. not punk. why'd they go and do this?) Devo - Freedom Of Choice (duh) Defecation - Purity Dilution (mick harris from napalm death and mitch harris from righteous pigs. on nuclear blast records. produced by the dude from nuclear assault. in spite of all of that...this record is total fucking bullshit. they're called defecation with good reason. i feel like i got shit on)
