Hey punx,
I went to recycled sounds on saturday and saw Born Dead Icons "salvation on your knees" LP in the used punk section. Also the first 2 from ashes rise lps but i bought those. anyway i seriously recommend going there and getting the born dead icons lp.
Hailing from Montreal Canada - born dead icons play an amazing motorhead influenced rampage that will have you doing some for real air guitar. Personally i think it is the best music in the world to work out to. Yep, better than discharge or youth of today. Im gonna try to get john jerk to play it on rotation at the UMKC gym one of these days.
Just thought you ought to know.

ah yea, i was going to pick this up a few weeks ago, but ended up getting antischism instead. if its still there, and you don't already own it, you should pick up victims' 'neverendinglasting' lp. its great raw australian hardcore. i'm pretty sure it was released on germany's yellow dog records, which has released some top notch stuff.

and also for some weird reason there's two copies of the Initial State LP up there too. i think the paperboard cover is the first press and the cream colored is the repress.
for anyone that doesn't know Initial State was the aftershock band of Anticschism. it has Liz the vocalist from antischism and at i think the guitar player too, maybe more.
not sure but it might be the same guitar player that went on to be a forming member of Guyana Punchline.

that would be rad if GPl played some other shows too. i was going to book them here on their final tour but they cancelled almost all the shows. oh well.

no, it was weird. i was staying in touch with chris bickle by email working out everything and then i didn't hear anything for a while and next thing i know all the shows were cancelled. i just figured they'd backed out of the tour and then after a long time i found out they had officially broken up.

yea, it was a surprise to me too. i was pretty bummed. but i guess the in/humanity reunion (which is still tentative but probably happening) will be at pointless fest 2k6 in philly and will feature chris and paul from the og lineup, with the rhythm section being made up by.. whoever can play it.
