kcdiy comp disappointment alert

if anyone noticed i didn't make it to the show last night.

that's right i actually missed a sweet japanese hardcore show for what?

well, i called to double check on the delay in getting the test presses of the kcdiy comp.

found out the pressing plant still hadn't received the notice from the people who make the vinyl stampers.

so i ended up spending hours on the phone with people in california trying to figure out what went wrong.

finally figured it out and the whole project is now delayed several weeks because someone at the stamper place forgot to send the notice to the pressing plant that they had received the master. bastards!

so anyway the project is now moving forward and after many calls confirmed with all parties involved that they had received all the stuff from each other.

after all that i had a massive headache, so the good news i suppose is that everything is moving along. the bad news is that there's little possibility that the LP will be out by the end of december.

there's still a slim chance that it will work out but i'll have to wait until the pressing plant gets the stampers (most likely not until the end of next week) before i can have a good estimate of when the pressing will be done.

i'll update when more info is available.

update:

we have the records. they are here at big brown shark headquarters. we have almost all of the insert art and jordan has confirmed that the screens to print the covers are done and screen printing will begin any day now.

the release show is scheduled for January 28th at Valhalla (jordan's new venue in the bottoms).

we will do wholesale but the markdown won't be a whole lot becasue we desperately need to make money back to pay off my insane credit card bill. but yeah we will and that sounds rad.

as far as where they'll be we'll definitely have them at love garden, recycled etc. it may not be for a week after it comes out though. best bet is to just come to the release show at Valhalla in the bottoms on saturday january 28th.

it's an LP. the cover has an image of poseidon in a collage. black and red ink screen on white jackets.

copies are available at love garden, recycled sounds (until they close) and at the anchor (during shows).

last time i was at love garden they had a copy on the wall and copies in the new LP bin.
