I'm thinking about moving to KC and was wondering if anyone has suggestions of places to look for apartments, or apartments that may have places to rent in the next 6 months.

howdy.
two places ive had pretty decent luck with are knaack properties and krugh realty. their like sorta big realty/property management companies that dont really bug you unless you call them and tell them to fix something and usually take care of their places at least in my experience. they have 24 hour maintenance guys usually too. theyre in midtown and rent a lot of cheap places out to art school/umkc students. every other experience ive had has been pretty fuckin shitty. mostly just thru individual asshole landlords that lived out in the suburbs and didnt really give a fuck. stay away from scott thompson, jaylene lambert, and oz accomodations for sure.

would one have to be an art school/umkc student in order to get cheap rent, or was that just the way that sentence came together?

nope. thats just how it looked. landlords dont give a fuck. i mean really they dont. haha.
