Join local residents and activists as they protest military recruiting in one of our neighborhoods.
DAY OF PROTEST AND ACTION AGAINST KC’S MILITARY RECRUITERS!
Organize a group of your friends and those who share your same concerns and come out prepared to share your thoughts, distribute literature and share advice concerning combating military recruitment in schools, colleges and in your local community!
The rally will begin @ 5:pm and go until we're ready to go home. Lets confront recruitment efforts at their home; let’s take it to their house! Counter Recruitment begins with us. Meet you in front of the Military Recruitment station in the shopping center at Westport Rd and Main Street!
At this point in time, with troops stretched very thin and recruitment numbers ever shorter with each passing deadline, counter recruitment as a tactic is very important and will hamper US imperialist war efforts.
I believe that the KC Iraq Task Force, AFSC, Campus Greens, Greater Kansas City Committee on Militarism in Schools, Organized Labor and others would be very valuable to this effort. Yes, that is a call out! Hope to see folks there!
STOP THE U.S. MILITARY FROM TAKING ADVANTAGE OF KANSAS CITY’S POOR, WORKING CLASS, AND COMMUNITIES OF COLOR!
THE MILITARY RECRUITERS TRY TO TRICK YOU INTO JOINING--EXPOSE THEIR LIES!
THE IRAQ WAR IS RACIST AND POOR PEOPLE OF COLOR FROM THIS COUNTRY ARE BEING SENT TO KILL OTHER POOR PEOPLE OF COLOR IN IRAQ.
THE IRAQ WAR HAS CLAIMED THE LIVES OF 100,000 IRAQIS AND 2,000 AMERICAN SOLDIERS.
THE IRAQ WAR IS BEING WAGED IN THE INTERESTS OF THE RICH!
WE WILL NOT BE CANNON FODDER FOR THE RICH!
