i've been asked to put together a school-event-ized 'zine convention.'
the event is in october, but the calendars are being printed in less than two weeks.
any kind of "zine" will do. punk rock, d.i.y., stories, cookbooks, artsy, pretty, grafitti, puppies, cars, anything you want to put time into and share with folks.
if you have zines you can send/bring to my school, uic (chicago), in octob, let me know by thursday, june 16? commit!
it looks like the event will be friday, october 14 noon - 5pm.
i'll need to put together a list of names, phone numbers, and email addresses.
melissa csoke will be the one contacting you (because of privacy and other uic-legal stuff) but i'll get everything sent to me as well.
i also get to choose what food is there (from the limited, shitty school catering). all right.
if you can't come, you should mail or give me however many copies of your zines you want. well ahead of time. and please feel free to pass this information along to anyone else in the world. this shit's international.
i love copy and paste.

that sounds really awesome. it would be the zine version of barnes and noble. are you going to distribute wellknown zines like diyguide or slingshot or heartattack? anyway its too bad this is in chicago.
ps sometimes i get back from a show or hanging out i go to b and n. and every single time i have ever been there, theres this studded mohawk dude with his girlfriend reading magazines on a bench. is that anyone on kcdiy?
