The Crucifucks are awesome and very essential. One of my relatives saw them with MDC back in the 80's.

the crucifucks AM I THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD WHO LIKES THE CRUCIFUCKS? ? "the little hand is on the two, the big hand is pointing at you. now what time is that?" that first record is good, in fact the song you just quoted is one of the best. i think its just that doc dart's vocals can be a little too irritating sometimes. the funny thing is that the dude from the vindictives sounds a lot like him on some of their songs.

i like doc dart's vocals because, to me, they exemplify what is great about punk: the shit eating obnoxiousness of it.
and "by the door" is the song that made me fall in love with the crucifucks oh so many years ago.
i prefer their songs about being a weirdo over their super political songs. and that is true of almost every old punk band. i like "in sight", "stealing people's mail" and "i kill children" more than i like "kill the poor"
call me crazy.

just got a copy of Headache's 7 inch from 1977/. Super rare power popish punk rock from the UK....very hard to find.
also got:
Kirroutu tape Tritess LP (punk from sweeden, ebba gron meets asta kask)
the Rubinoos LP (powerpop, not that great)
Carbonas= frothing at the mouth 7" (got a copy of the first pressing of this 7 inch that's limited to 300....awsome garage punk)

Men's Recovery Project. Ultimo Rausea AOF AOF! the best band from chicago ever? or maybe a tie with naked raygun? "american dreams" possibly one of the best hc/punk anthems ever, and then they turn around and give us "every man for himself," "your suit" and "false security". i love that band. my list: jellyroll rockheads - discography cd limp wrist - discography cd damned - machine gun etiquette LP soviet valves - sight that harms 7" dag nasty - can i say LP new york dolls - s/t LP 100 flowers - discography CD (thanks greg!) no hope for the kids - s/t LP direct control - you're controlled LP (can't get this out of rotation - too awesome)
