HERE'S THE CLUB INFO:
THE CLUBS
All shows are ALL AGES. The THURS, FRI and SAT shows all start at 8pm sharp, while the Sunday show will start a little earlier (once I get info, I will post that). Respect the clubs / the surrounding community and we'll continue to be able to have shows into the future. While Burnt Ramen is a little more "anything goes," Gilman Street is constantly surveilled by the police, so be sure to get tanked BEFORE you show up. Again, common sense....no fighting, no drugs, no attitudes, no griping about having to pay to get in, etc.
All shows will be $7, but Gilman requires that to enter one must purchase an annual membership card, even if this is your first (and possibly only) time coming to visit. This is the method in which they have been able to function as an all-volunteer punk club for close to 20 years...in other words, the system works and is worth the extra $2 it will cost ya.
THURS Jan 5th at BURNT RAMEN in RICHMOND CALIFORNIA
FRI JAN 6th and SAT JAN 7th at 924 GILMAN ST in BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CHEAP PLACES TO STAY:
You can try any number of the youth hostels in the vicinity (either East Bay or San Fransisco). Just do a search on google.com and you should be able to find some cheap accomodations.
LASTLY
Since some people are coming in from out of town and making some (financial) sacrifices to do so, we will be passing out a TON of FREE shit in order to make the Gilman membership fee and other small expensives worthwhile. We'll have shirts for the fest as well as a 12"LP Comp LP...all of the money goes to the bands, so again, bring some loot to buy some merchandise and help out the bands. They need it!
Also, THERE WILL NOT BE ANY SPACE FOR OUTSIDE DISTROS. In other words, with 8 bands a night, the bands will get to use all the table space - do not expect to roll up with your Walmart-sized patch distro and be able snag any table/floor space. The shows will be packed, and the space HAS TO BE given to the bands first and foremost. We apologize for this.
Thanks for your interest in the festival, and see ya at the shows!
